New Holland TC1520
Hey everyone just wanted to say hello. This site was extremely helpful when it came time to buy my new pc of equipment.

I used to have (until last Friday) a 1978 Simplicity 9020 Powermax. I sold that guy (kept the tiller by mistake) and purchased a new New Holland TC1520. It has an FEL, 72" rear discharge belly mower, and a Woods RB72 grader blade. Put 4 hours on it over the weekend and it worked great. I own 16 acres and work another 15 - 25 for farming and livestock.

Cant wait for some snow to fly now! Also, if anyone is interested the tiller from the old mower is now for sale - the PM9020 is a 2k RPM rear PTO, and when I sold it I didnt realize that, thus why I kept the tiller. I may try to rear gear it, or just buy a new KK 60" tiller. Not sure yet.

Here is a pic of the tractor in action with my wife doing the work!

Looking forward to interacting with all the NH guys.

Welcome Kalrod23, You will enjoy your new tractor and I am sure you already are. Involving the Wife in the tractor operation can have two sides. One one side she is more acceptable to buying new attachments. On the other side she may want to hog all of the seat time.:D

Enjoy your new tractor!

Hope it works out for you :) We have a T1520.... was wondering if yours is a T1520 as well or a TC1520? And if it is a TC1520, do you know if there is a difference between the 2?

Kalrod,
Welcome to the brotherhood !! The TC1520 is one of my favorites for sure. That machine is more than capable and will amaze you when you need to put it to the test. Good luck with the your new rig.

No idea on the delta between the T1520 and the TC1520, but I can see if I can dig around for it.

So far I havent been able to use it much as I have been stuck in travel mode, but should be home in a few weekends and plan to put it to work then!

Hope your new tractor is going good. Our t1520 unfortunately has not been. After a major repair at the shop, it is still making the noise it had when we got it. Does yours sound funny at all when you start it up? (A sound like a fan hitting a peice of cardboard?) Also our clutch makes a funny noise when engaged and disengaged. I do not know of any other owners who have this tractor, so I am just kind of curious. Thanks for any info and good luck with your tractor!

Congrats on the new rig ! No complaints here. I had the early 1520 and it was a fantastic machine!

Nice machine. Hopefully the wife doesn't steal all the seat time!
