Im installing a JD 146 loader on my 1977 JD 2240
I am clueless on how to install my
high pressure side of the hyd. I know I have to get the Hyd filter cover T31170 so I can run my return line. Also I have no rear remotes.

Here's the part #(L55982) for a ported filter cover that will fit your tractor & is cheaper than the T31170. One needs to remove plug in rear of pressure control valve on RH side by hyd filter cover then install a fitting to attach hose. Photo below shows hyd fittings if your tractor had scv's which you stated it doesn't. Fitting(key 4 in 2nd photo) for your tractor(less scv) to attach to rear of pressure control valve with male JIC that a hose with a swivel fitting can be attached is part # R27237

If you think you may ever what to add rear SCV(s), put a "TEE" fitting in the Pressure control valve and cap one outlet of the TEE.
