I bought a Kubota MX5400 from PinnacleView equipment which is off exit 5 on 91, probably too far from you. I'm guessing Townline Equipment is closer to you, as Kubota dealers go. No idea if there are any closer to you. I have Deere dealers equidistant, dealer support/proximity is important to me, but I'm happy with my decision to go Kubota.
Clearing snow is a big deal and a step I haven't taken yet with my tractor, good luck figuring that out. Don't forget chains for your tires.
I'm still considering my options here. I ruled out a front mounted blower, unless you have a mid-pto option, it's probably too expensive anyway. I don't really want to go in reverse to snow blow, I am considering pull-type rear snowblowers. Means adding more hydraulics, I have none in the rear. A snow pusher and your bucket can be used too, if we have a light winter, you never know what you're going to get in Vt these days.
If you're on hilly terrain (and who isn't along the Green Mountains), then consider the width of the tractor and stability requirements, which is one of the things that prompted me to buy the MX5400 vs the L3901, it's 20+ percent wider.
For me, my most used attachments are:
grapple - for clearing trees, brush, and pulling big rocks out of the field - this is my most frequently used implement. Trees always coming down somewhere.
bucket - for driveway work, hauling mulch, etc.
rear blade - for driveway grading and ironically the hardest attachment to learn to use effectively
rotary cutter - for cutting the field
I have pallet forks I don't use much, though they are arguably more capable of moving big rocks out of the field. The grapple loses total power with the hydaulics used to open/close it.
If you're going to be gathering trees for firewood, consider a heavier tractor and winch setup for it.
