My wife and have 65 acres we purchased over twenty years ago. About 45 - 50 acres are in grass/hay and the remaining is wooded. We have been leasing the grass/hay for the last 15 years and now that we are both semi-retired have decided to build our home on the property while probably continuing to lease the grass/hay. House will probably be build in the next year to 18 months. So have started to look for a tractor to help with maintenance.
This past year, what with the Covid lockdowns and all, we started to clear out and remove some old fencing with just chainsaws and other hand tools. Fun but slow hard work. Have started to read reviews on this site and begin my education. I have not driven a tractor since I left my parents small farm for college and then the Army back in 1970. Our tractor back then was an Oliver that was older than my Dad.
