Hello from Texas/Florida

Hello everyone! I'm Daniel Altman. Grew up in South Florida, LaBelle, Immokalee, Sunniland (real one). Currently stationed at Fort Hood, TX and deployed right now. My family has only owned Ford tractors since I can remember! However, my grandpa did buy a TAFE 35hp (Massey) for light duty work and a Mahindra 6530 couple years ago and it's has performed well above what we thought it could handle. Between my grandpa and I, we have a Ford TW-15 2wd, Ford 7700 2wd, Ford 5000. He sold the other Ford 5000 and Ford 3000. I think he kicks himself in the butt for that one. Long story short, my grandpa gave me his father痴 1969 Ford 5000 which was bought new. It hasn't run in many years and we got it fired up this past summer. I'm looking to restore it as best I can, paint body work, no leaks. While searching the internet on issues, I found this site and SoundGuy's posts. So I decided to join and learn from those who have a lot of firsthand experience on tractor mechanics. Looking forward to asking my questions and learning!

Welcome and thank you for your service. Had a friend I went to college with who taught in Immokalee I visited a few times, and did some work for the Army at Fort Hood a couple of times.

Thanks to everyone else! I enjoy my job and I'm 5yrs 6 months until retirement! I don't wish to ever come back to Aghanistan again!
