Hello everyone. My name is Cody. I live southwest Virginia, back in the 'hollar.' I have 65 acres of mountain land with about 8 acres cleared and fenced. We keep a couple horses and goats on the property.
My driveway is .25 mi long and has a steep grade to it.
I currently own a Komatsu D20 dozer.
I'm considering the purchase of a Kubota BX25 for road/property upkeep and if possible, bush hogging some hillsides.
Has anyone run dual wheels on a BX? I'm looking to bush hog the hillside fields with a 4' bush-hog and running dual wheels? I'd plan on running minimal air pressure in the out tires to reduce the chances of wearing out or breaking driveline components. Any experience with this?

Cody,

Welcome. I'm not able to answer your questions, but you might want to try posting your questions over in the Kubota Owning/Operating section. It's more likely to draw attention there.

Where are you in SW VA? I went to grad school at VA Tech and enjoyed life there -- except for the cold and wind from November - March.

You should ask these type of questions in the Kubota forums, but here's a link to a thread from "milkman". He did what you are asking about.

Thanks for the advice. I'm still mapping out the website.
I live in Shawsville, about 20 minutes from VA Tech; however, I'm a Wahoo (maybe a little more 'red' than most UVA alumni). The cold winds blowing through Blacksburg can be trying, but once you get out of the high valley, things calm down. Appalachia is in my blood. Five years of military service took me to many other places, but this is home.

Well, I guess UVA is OK if you couldn't get into Tech. :)

I remember watching the Masters when I was in Blacksburg. Seeing the dogwoods and azaleas in full bloom while it was still cold outside made me want to head south.
