Just a quick intro. I've been a backyard farmer for a long while and enjoy growing a lot of different vegetables. I'm originally from Maryland, later moved to York County, Pennsylvania for a number of years, and have been living in Arizona since 2007. I was worried we wouldn't be able to grow much in Phoenix but I was totally wrong; just had to learn a few new skills and subjects like irrigation, working with hardpan/caliche, etc. We're currently living on a little over an acre and I have about a third of that growing vegetables. Next spring I'm putting in 100 wine grape grafted root stock and looking forward to making wine. I don't own any large tractors due to the tight quarters but have two BCS walk-behind tractor units (718 and 750) and various attachments. I found myself looking at info on the forums lately so figured I'd join in.
