Hey y'all. I have owned and used since 1993 a 1948 Massey Harris 30 row crop tractor, to mow my idle fields and hunting lanes on our farm. I just purchased a refurbed 1963 F-4000 4 cyl gas 5 speed tractor from a local rehabber. Should receive it next week some time. I'm upgrading my horsepower, and finally graduating from only pull-behind equipment, to three-point Ferguson lift system equipment. My back ain't what it used to be, so I'm looking forward to having that lift option, plus the ability to now do gardening on a sizeable scale like I have never been able to do with the limited pull-behind equipment and simple rototiller I have always had until now. I plan to sell the old Massey Harris now. My three sons are getting some age where they will soon be able to help me get some work done around here, thank goodness! I've heard alot of good things about the early 4000s, so I cannot wait to get started.
