Hello from Geneva Florida. I am born and raised in Florida and recently moved to Geneva with my wife. I'm starting a mini farm on 7 acres, and bought a walk behind tractor. I know its not a true tractor, but you have to walk before you run. Geneva is country, and myself and my wife just love it. Hope to learn a lot about tractors, and other equipment such as forestry mulchers.

A tractor is a tractor some are big some are small. The old 2 wheeled tractors used to be popular and now they are making a comeback of course I don't want one.

I live somewhat close to "Lake Geneva" - but that is almost 2.5 hours from you

You are right, for being that close to Orlando, the area you live has some very nice "country"

We are bordered by several lakes all connected to the St. Johns river system. Good fishing, beautiful country and some big deer to hunt! Lots of big turkey as well. I hope it stays that way. Hopefully development does not come too soon. Geneva has done a good job so far on preventing that.

Thank you Wagtail for the welcome. Glad to see some folks appreciate the walk behind, even if it cannot do what the big boys can do. I can still till and plow, just takes a bit of work, which I don't mind.

Well, a lot of the area with a Hawthorne address is in Putnam county. Plus lower taxes, and less "imperial" County Government and code guys.
