John Deere 1020
Glad to be aboard this tractor community. I am taking this time of Social Distancing to get a JD 1020 running again. I have been cleaning and doing basic maintenance on the machine. I hope to try starting it this week after a few years of it setting idle in my barn. So many problems identified and tackled and fixed. I look forward to sharing and reading about others as they work on other machines. There may be others with a 1020 that I will come across in the coming weeks that can help me get this little tractor working again.

Howdy Roy,
I'm a little further south than you, and I don't have a JD 1020 … but I've been working on "corona projects" since this whole thing started. We live in a "barndominium" and the barn part of the metal building was not insulated and did not have interior metal panels. So, I've been insulating and installing the panels. Also, installed a water softener for the house part. I do have some upcoming tractor work to do in the pastures, so the tractor will get involved in the coming days/weeks. Hope you get your JD going and all ready for the summer.

Chuck -
OK on Bellville. Great farm and ranch part of Texas. I got my 1020 started up and purring like a kitten on Tuesday of this week. I changed the oil and started lubrication around the machine and all my lub guns were broke. I now have three working guns after taking them to the woodshed on Wednesday. Good to hear your corona projects are keeping you busy. If you finish up at your place, I have plenty more over here that can keep you busy and out of trouble.
