Hello from Belgium

I am a new member and the reason why I registered is (of coarse) a problem I am having. I discovered TactorByNet while googling for a solution but unfortunately I had no luck so far.
I hooked a little plow (designed for a two wheel tractor) to my Yanmar YM1610D but it wont stay in the ground.
When I start plowing it goes in the soil for about 8 inches but then it gradually comes up until it just slides over the surface.
Is it because it is not heavy enough or is there some adjustment that has to be made?

If anyone can help it would be largely appreciated.

It could be a weight issue or you might shorten the top link to get a better angle, "usually" a plow will try to go deeper if set properly. Once you have your initial furrow, you will also need to adjust the lower links to keep the angle side to side correct as your tractor will now be on an angle with the tire in the furrow.

Welcome - Yes it sounds like you need to adjust to get a better angle. Have you viewed the video on Everythingattachments.com?

This just may be a case for "Hercule Poirot"!

Check the plow mounting so that at the desired depth the actual plow, which may be offset, is in line with the centerline of the tractor. Then make sure the share is sitting level or just slightly below level. You may also have to add a chain to limit the depth the plow will go down.
