Thank you gentlemen, assumption I know you may be ladies or neither! The Yanmar I have is an L48 I bought a Chinese 178F for parts mostly the electric starting system and injection pump however the flywheel is a different size and the pump seems to be injecting too much fuel, it's impossible to pull the engine with it on the engine. I thought the parts would be interchangeable? Big end is gone on the Chinese engine so I reckon it's scrap

I managed to download a manual for the engine I put extra timing shims under the pump and she's running
