Hello, on the mech maxx stump grinders, my tractor is a 65 hp jd, and I have probally a 100 stumps on some timber land that was cut, mostly pine, but some hardwood. I am in no big hurry to do it, so I was wondering if I could purchasw the 24 that is rated for 25 to 45 hp tractor and use on my 65 hp tractor? instead of the 28 that is rated for a tractor up to 95 hp. Thanks in advance

I wouldn't, personally. I tend to use what they say. If you're out of spec and something goes wrong, no warranty.

If it's a gear drive you probably want the other kind with hydraulics. It's almost impossible to go slow enough without a hydro transmission on the pull type grinders.

You also may want to check on the 3pt hitch. Those small ones are cat 1, iirc.
