Hello everyone. This is a great resource and I'm so glad I came across it. I'll soon be buying a first tractor and I'm doing my research. I'm in PA and was forced to rent a machine last week after the blizzard to get the driveway opened up. So, it will be for snow removal, stone driveway maintenance, food plotting and maybe a sizable garden. Perhaps some minor logging and woods work too. So far I'm liking the value and reputation of Kubota though I've always love Deere (I've owned two Deere lawn tractors). Thoughts?

:welcome: to TBN!

Your list of tasks sounds like mine. I bought a Kioti DK40 with cab (for snowblowing) and HST. It's loader capacity is amazing, over 2,700 lbs. Its well built and well appointed for the price. Check them out!

Thanks rmorey. I'll take a look at the Kioti. I didn't want to get too far off the beaten path regarding brand. I am not one to take chances with quality. Have you had any quality issues?

This s my second Kioti. The first one was an '04, we put 1,188 hours and traded up last April. So far, no problems with either machine.

G'day and welcome to TBN from Downunder.

Enjoy the site and ask away. We generally don't 'try' to push one coloured tractor versus another but we do offer advice. If you're 'set' on a colour then we'll offer our best opinion. It's what we do.

You can't go wrong with Deere or Kubota almost anywhere. Otter brands are subject to your local dealers unless you wrench for yourself. Kioti and LS are up and coming brands in many areas but check their local support. As far as myself, I stick with Deere, Kubota and Massey these days. Take a look at Massey, they have some nice offerings.
