height of 4300 rollbar - fixed vs foldable

i'm looking at getting an 'original tractor company' hard top snow cab for my 4300.

he shows pics of them on the 3x20 series tractors here:

as you can see, it is below the (foldable) ROPS. when i ask him the height of the finished cab on a 4300, he doesn't know and sent me a picture of one installed. it is on a fixed ROPS machine and extends over the top of it.

does anyone know if the fixed ROPS on a 4300 is shorter than the foldable? i need it to be no higher than the ROPS or it won't fit into the barn.

i took some scale measurements on the pics he sent....compared the height of the cab to a fixed portion of the tractor to get a dimension, then used that dimension to measure up from the foot rest...it APPEARS to end up like the 3x20 pic, but would like to be sure if possible.

I copied this from the owner manual available on line. It shows the folding ROPS is six inches taller than the fixed. 90 vs 84 inches.

hey, thanks! i've been searching online for the info, but for some reason never thought to LOOK IN THE MANUAL!!

i grabbed mine to take a look....only says: overall height (to top of ROPS) = 2103 mm/83 in.

appears to be an avg dimension, they don't differentiate between tires or ROPS type.

i'll check online and see if they list all tires styles separately....i guess it doesn't matter which tires, will be 6" difference in any case.

Glad to help. The early model 4300 did not offer the optional folding ROPS. I expect you have the manual for that early model. Only the late model manual is available online.
