What are the advantages of using rim guard vs. windshield washer fluid or rv anti-freeze (besides weight diffrence) can you run washer fluid or anti-freeze without a tube so you can plug holes has anyone bought rim guard what kind of price are we looking at per gallon?

I used rim guard. For me the advantage (in additional to weight) was environmental protection. We have a creek on our property that has an exceptional value trout stocking fisheries status, and I wouldn't want anything bad going into the creek.

I paid $2.50 per gallon installed this past August.
