Does New Holland make a heater for a hydrostatic transmission ? If they do , what is the part number ?

Never heard of a heater but they do have cold tempature oil that others have said eliminated the whinning. I was wondering if it is a good idea to use the winter oil during the summer.

The 'cold temperature oil' from NH is the F200 hydraulic oil. It's a full synthetic, just like Amsoil.

It's safe to use year round.

They don't offer a a heater at least not from our side. To run a magnetic if the temps are down below 0 would be good. The 200 oil if I'm not mistaken is not synthetic but just a thinner oil. If you have a CaseIH dealer near you it is the same as Hytran Plus.

I was under the impression it was multi-viscosity dino fluid. I could be/probably am wrong. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif I tried to find it at the NH site, but no go. However, I DID find that NH has come out with a line of full synthetics, including synthetic 15W40 engine oil. Web page is here. .

I stand corrected. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

My Operator's Manual indicates it's OK to use F200 year round.

I'm glad I switched to Amsoil. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

F200 does reduce/eliminate the hydrowhine. Replaced the 134 with 200 early this autumn. Not absolutely sure but I thought the recommended ambient air temp limit for F200 is somewhere in the upper-80F. Last winter I placed a halogen work lamp under the hydro "drip pan" + the engine block heater. Probably did little to warm up the hydro. Just felt like I was doing something positive (negative was the wasted kilowatts of electricity).

Just talked to my dealer in Palmer Alaska, he says NH does make a hydro/hydrostatic heater that screws into a plug near the rear axle (on a tc45DA, cost is about $100)

That's news to me. A part number would be great.

Guys,
I have a TC34DA, with the HST Heater Kit Part # is 87379951. I use it for 6 hours and then start. Also, I use 134 fluid, and the Cold Weather HST Filter. This year with 10 degree temp, I started the tractor with out any Hyd. noise.

I searched the TC45 Tractor options list and I did not see it, but I'l bet it will fit...Bob in Akron, Ohio
