I just finished changing my BX 2750 snow blower over to my MMM. By accident I found that the two set screws in the gear sprocket on the blower shaft were, 1 missing and 1 loose. Being hidden behind the guard I never paid any attention to those set screws. I will now. I found one of the smaller ones on the lower shaft needing a 1/2 turn also. Cleaned up the threads w/brake cleaner and put a dab of blue Loctite on them. I'll be sure to check them every year when it comes off now.
