My constant companion for 15 1/2 years Barron left me yesterday and with my wife in a nursing home the house is truly lonely, but he could take the pain no more so he is free of that and I am left with the loss

Sorry for the loss.
Living human alone the Muttley gang brought some life to a dark house when I came home.
Now it's just a dark silent house.
It's been 10+ years and I still can't get myself to get another dog or 4.

Sorry about your loss and your situation in life. If you are up to it, I suggest a small dog from a shelter to fill the void. I have waited and I have gotten a new dog the same day as loosing one. The new one will be different regardless of waiting or not but in time you will come to an agreement of sorts.
