Any one have a counter on their hay elevator. I was looking for some ideas on best way to mount one in a spot it wont get knocked off and still count bales accurately. I have a skeleton and a paddle grain type. Thanks in advance.

it wouldn't take to much to mount one but keeping it in place might be an issue as many bales are not riding in the center.

What's the loading configuration? Paddle type on the ground and skeleton in the mow for a traverse type delivery (like I use) or something else?

Mechanical type counters such as those used on a baler could be made to work.

Its a great idea, though. I need one for out-bound hay so I know how many a customer is getting.

In the mow, I stack in piles with a fixed count in each pile so I know how many are on-hand.

The paddle one is on wheels and the skeleton is flat. I only use the the skeleton to sell hay, throwing it in the back of a trailer. Whenever I sell now it seems the dealers come up with less bales then I count.
