My baby is at the shop for the 50 hr checkup. I miss her. :(

She was supposed to have been picked up Monday. I had to call the dealer and ask why she was still in the yard. I think the mumbled answer was they got busy. :(

They did hustle over and get her this morning shortly after I called. Now I am anxiously awaiting her return.

I did manage to get 10 hrs on the clock on the weekend, so I still have vivid and fond memories of her. I even think that I am getting fewer high spots on my land as 10 hrs of mowing and not 1 broken shear pin. :)

I suppose that I will have enough self controll to not call and bug the dealer tomorow. Then maybe not. :) I may be able to hold out until the day after.

I will survive, I will survive, I will survive. Maybe just a quick visit tomorow. :)

I feel your pain! I am going up Friday and get my fix. I think I will mow all day.

I was afraid I'd miss mine when she went in for service. So, I did it myself. Got to know her a bit better and enjoyed the time we spent together. Maybe that's why my wife never talks to me anymore.

Mine was supposed to be picked up last Friday for the first 50 hours service. They missed it so I had a full weekend of use. They picked it up Monday morning and I hope to get it back before the weekend so I don't miss any time with it.

I may go over on the way home and tak tothem about the hard to move throttle and look at some more implements to be delivered when they return her.

Maybe if I drop some more cash they will hurry up and get her home!

It's amazing how these Orange Beautys become a part of the family. I had the same withdrawls when mime popped a hydo cap on the MMM the first day and had to go back to the dealer. I was in pain all weekend!!

Turfman,

My initial plan was to do the service myself. The dealer told me they would give me the filters if I wanted to do it that way.

That was before I had my first day blues. :( I found loose and missing bolts on the FEL and to top it off the FEL hadn't been greased. The manager promised me that the 50 hr service would be free. :) I don't argue with free.

Now I sit and wait, I keep looking out the gate. I must keep calm and center myself. Heck with it I will have an adult beverage, that way I wouldn't drive her if she were here. :)

Maybe tomorrow she will arrive. I am doing well on my self restraint, I haven't called or gone by the dealership. That was mostly because I was very very busy at work.

I am somewhat helped by all of the comisseration (sp).

I just thought of something, maybe the bent tie rod is the holdup. Don't know how that happened. The strangest part is that it was bent out. If I had run into something I would expect it to be bent inward. Oh well

Jack,

"Six-step program for getting over tractor addiction" :)

That could lead to a more destructive type of addiction. I would rather have a constructive type. :)

Balanced that is with 1 or 2 for health and relaxation. :) My days of being into the six or six x six step program are long over. The older you get the less your body will tolerate the abuse.

Just making "lite" of the situation. And you are correct about tolerance and recovery time as we get older. Leave that to the younger guys.

I am getting ready to give in to the urge to call and ask about delivery. I know they finished with the service and I ordered the disc which is in stock so they should want to hustle on out and collect the check shouldn't they?

I, too, share your pain, as I am in a long-distance relationship with my Kubota. She lives 130 miles away, and I'll have to wait till Saturday morning to see her...

Oh to be so close to Orange. Mine is at the cabin in Montana, and I'm stuck down here in CA. I've been looking for projects around the house for the tractor, so I could haul it down for the winter. But my lawn would be done in about 6 passes, so I'd have to warm up longer than I mow. I think I need to add on, and the backhoe we are building will certainly help. For now I settle for more forum time than tractor time.

Gee, listening to you guys I don't feel so silly wanting to be on my baby all the time. Thought I was the weird one...

What a let down today!!! I was going to put some hours in tommorrow toward break in before I tackle the clearcut. It's raining like a cow on a flat rock where she is (she too is 130 miles away). Can't get to her for 10-12 days. May need counseling. Dog is danger (will wear soft shoes). Only kid left in the house may have to leave for a while. Mom is the only one safe (I know better than to mess with her, the last time I did it didn't work out to well)

GS,

How did you know that "lite", Miller Lite was the current adult beverage of choice?

Well I just couldn't stand it. I had to call the dealer this afternoon. They said the baby was fine, all fluids were done and the bent tie rod was reformed and on the straight and narrow. The only cost was $55 for the labor on the removal and straightening of the tie rod.

They said the baby would be home in the AM. I unfortunately found out tonight that I have to go to Columbia in AM to work on a strange server problem.

The weekend is coming, the weekend is coming. Ohmm padmanee ohmm. If y'all listen real close maybe you will hear me chanting to keep calm while I wait. :)

Be one with the Orange,

Don:

I hope we don't find ot that you have been hanging out in airports. Wearing orange bed sheets and trying to sell Kubota hats.

Russ,

Not me! The last time I saw the bed sheet guys was at the Miami airport. I made a detour around those guys.

My baby is back! Life is wonderful, except that there is thunder and some showers. I have an aversion to sitting on a tractor when the thunder booms.

My withdrawal symptoms have abated. I am feeling more at peace with the world. :)

I wish to thank all that were "feeling my pain".

The second childhood continues. I will get to play in my big sand box again. :)

Mine is suppose to be here in the morning. Seems they were short a delivery truck today. Hope they aren't kidding. Should have a nice new disc attached to it when it gets here. Maybe even the landscapre rake as well, although they weren't sure it would get here today.

Hope your weather clears. Normal evening t-storms going on outside right now. Should make tomorrow morning pleasent.

Hi Don, I feel your pain....I have a L3010 HST FEL a new First choice box scrapper and I've been working way too much...anyway got some serious joystick time in yesterday. Its amazing how much dirt you can move with this tractor. Just hang in there I sent mine back to get the FEL installed and it just about killed me...wife thinks I'm completely nuts over this tractor...I think she's getting jealous....she may be in trouble here...lol.

Have a great day and be safe
