Having problems logging in?

Sorry for the inconvenience to those of you who are unable to login. Due to the encryption method used on some user accounts, the old passwords are not being accepted by the new system.

If the e-mail address you had on your account was current, then all you need to do is go to the following URL, enter your e-mail address, and request a new password. You will receive a link that will then send you a new temporary password. That will enable you to login and change your password to something new.

If your e-mail address was NOT current and you can't access it, you need to contact us with your username and NEW e-mail address so we can change your account manually.

I have been unable to log into my old account. I tried reset password three times, but I never received an email. I sent two messages to the webmaster via the link and have not received a response. I had to create a new account to log in.

Is the server sending emails for password changes?

I noticed a difference logging in the new and improved forum. Previously I logged in with a user name (which was different from my display name) and password but could not log in here once it was updated. Then for the heck of it I tried using my display name with my original password and that got me in. Maybe others have the same problem.
Still trying to work my way around the new features.
Also I still get logged off sometimes while reading a long thread. Then I want to reply to a post in that thread and after typing my reply and try to post it comes back and says I'm not logged in. Then I log back in and the reply I just typed is gone.

This sounds to me like the email on file with TBN is not the one you think it is.

The email on file is correct. If you enter a non valid email address when requesting a password it will say email address not found.

I have not heard from any of the webmasters about my problem either. Either the new software is not emailing people, or the emails are getting stopped by some spam blocker. Not sure.

Yep, I'm in the same boat. It accepts my e-mail address and looks like it is e-mailing, but it isn't. If I enter my old hotmail account, it tells me it is invalid. So it is the right one. I'm sure Mohammad is on it, I'm just verifying the symptoms.

The links on the home page are obsolete -- they are for the old forum. I suggest creating a favorite's link to the main forum page instead of the TBN home page.
