I haven't seen much regarding the B26 since it came out last year. I have one and love the heck out of HIM (as it is strong and mascular) it does everything this operator has asked of it. Anyone else care to comment in either good or bad or any other comments?:)

I keep looking for B26 feedback also... they must be good because I haven't heard anything negative on the boards.

Earlier this year I went to my Kubota Dealer looking to buy one to replace my BX23. I ended up not, for a number of reasons...

A new B26 would cost double what I paid for my BX and the BX has done everything I've asked of it.

Also, the B26 won't fit in my garage or tractor shed and it takes an act of Congress to build anything in my Home Owner's Association, not to mention the City Building and Design Review.

My Dealer said he hasn't sold too many of the B26 model. The rental yards don't like the unprotected steel hood vs the armor of the B20 and B21 and his contractors like the bigger L and M TLB.

If I had a B26, I would also buy a hydraulic powered backhoe mount post-hole digger. I could really use the extra versatility.

Your comment regarding the rental companies and the hood is just the opposite in my area. They could care less as they are renting the equipment and not the hood. If it gets banged up they will replace it when the time comes to purchase new and get rid of the old. Now for me I watch like heck not to drop stuff on the hood as I paid good money for it and treat it with respect. They say that the people that have rented the 4 he has, which by the way they say are gone about 85% of the time figuring time as a week have just loved the workability of the unit and they say that the areas that they rent them to be in is to small for the larger tractors. Another thing that the rental place did was change the tires on two of them from the R4's to turf so not as much damage is being done to the homeowners lawns and they are the first ones to be requested for. One of the rentals fabricated 2 Bob Cats hydraulic post hole diggers to fit the quick attach bucket FEL and have just 1 for the BH. Neither one are big rentals but are called for for the smaller jobs. Up here everything has to be 12" or bigger and 4.5 to 5 feet deep. Thats quite a hole for a smaller machine. Oh by the way anything that is great costs a bit more in the dollars.LOL

I couldn't even find a 3 point post hole digger to rent...

All the rental yards in my local California Yellow Pages and was told it was a liability issue and that's why I bought my Land Pride.

The Rental yards have Bobcat Post Hole Diggers for skid-steers... so I guess liability must not be a problem with skid-steer attachments?

The 3 yards near me no longer rent small kubota/deere tractors at all. It's either a teramite or full size Case for TLB's

How many hours on your B26?

How many hours on your B26?

I believe it is near 125 to 150 hours, but I will not raise my right hand on those hours. I had a great blank plate made up for it (Quick Attach FEL) and had my real friendly fabricator make it up for my snow plow hitch up on it along with a trailer receiver and forks that all work off of the one plate. Works great. I just told the guy what I would like it to be able to do and he did everything from then on. The cost was $125 for the blank plate that works with the B26 and $75 for the fabrication. I believe the fabricator was a tad on the cheap side. We do a lot of bartering for different things which I believe helped keep the cost down. If you think of it, just the forks would normally cost $100 ++ and he happen to have a used set sitting out in his yard that was just the right size for what I wanted them for.:)

I have 200 hours on my B-26 in 11 months! moved snow and landscaped my yard, (partially, have 3.5 acres) no complaints, great machine! I have dented the hood though, while sifting top soil, I retrofitted a piece of 3/4 plywood for additional protection, but only keep it on to sift as it looks a little hillbilly :D. I have it outfitted with a 6' Curtis plow for this winter, I'm excited to move some snow, last year it took a while using only the FEL bucket.

Thanks for your input. You know about hoods getting dented, that's just part of the business of moving heavy and rocky material around in the bucket. One just has to expect it to happen at some point. The hood I feel is more than strong enough for what it is made to do and protect. I like your plow rig. I had one made up and put on my B26 last year and it worked great. I do not have the hydraulics as I only push as I have stone walls on both side of the drive and the road, so I push it all into a pile and having the plow on the FEL you sure can get it up into one heck of a high pile.:)

Hi new member here. I purchased a b-26 five months ago and I am thrilled with this machine. I now have 67 hrs on it and have done several projects with it including installing sewer systems, water lines, power lines, building rock walls, tearing out concrete driveways ect. This machine is the perfect size for me it is easy to transport and very strong for it's size. This winter I will keep it at my fathers place to move snow so we will see how it does at that. Maybe I will have to look into getting a blade.

I've had mine for about 5mos, 60hrs. Getting ready for major renovating project. I graduated up from a BX22, which I also loved. This B26 has major muscle. I love the rops lighting system. Fabricated a QA pallet fork for it...to move 300lb sheets of 4x8 1/4in plate around my barn.
