Hello friends! I know some of you have noticed that I haven't been posting much lately, and I thought I would offer a quick explanation:

Besides finishing school for the summer, I recently became a volunteer firefighter. As I'm sure many of the other firefighters on here know, all the calls/training/events can eat up a lot of time. However, this does not mean that I'll abandon TBN. Not at all. I still try to visit every couple of days, and I hope to be back regular over the summer when things settle down.

Kyle :)

Good job!

We just moved in to our station on Tuesday. We were in temporary facilities while our old station was demo'd and a new one built(for almost a year and a half!).

I'm currently working on Driver Operator. Finished an in-district EVOC course Wednesday.

Good luck with that new path, Kyle. I went that way, 25 or so years ago, as a Volunteer Fireman, my Department paid for college courses, and I got One year certificates in Arson Investigaton, Industural safety, and an Two year degree in Fire Science, from Lousiana State University at Eunice. With that I was hired as one of the younges Deputy State Fire Marshals in Louisiana ever, spent 10 years there and worked my way up to Distict Supervisor. Found out Railroad safety pays better, and have been traveling all over the Country for the last 15 years doing that.

They're lucky to have you, and I bet you will learn a great many things. Please be careful, and very thoughtful when safety is discussed. Good Luck!
