Have LS on the brain. Need advise

Hey guys! This is my first post but I've been lurking for a while. A lot of great info on this site. I am posting because I'm in the market for a new compact/sub compact tractor and I have been giving the LS J2030 some serious consideration. I'm looking for something I can do some of the smaller jobs around the farm with. Between my dad and I we have 5 tractors, but the are all a little big for doing stuff around the house or brush hogging my wife's horse trails. I am currently using a Bush Hog GT48 behind the four wheeler for brush hogging. It works great but after a few hours it's not real comfortable. What I thought I would do is trade in my lawn mower and the brush hog and eliminate to pieces of equipment. I'd like to have one small tractor that I can do everything with i.e. Mow, brush hog, move dirt, snow removal, ect... I do have a budget to work with and I think I'm in the ballpark with a J2030.

I like this model because it's a little bigger than a true sub compact and feels like more of a small tractor.

What I'm wondering is if anybody has some pricing info they could share. I'd just like to see if my dealer is close with his numbers. I like to have as much information as possible before I go to him and try to get the best deal possible.

My dealer lists the J2020 without MMM for $12,850 on Craigslist. I'd expect the 2030 to be about $1k more.

My dealer also lists the J2020 for 12,800. After looking at the price of john deere and LS You do get much more with the LS for less money. I have also found that LS seems to get repair parts much more quickly than John Deere does.

I don't have any experience on that model, but it specs out very favorably. I would get some seat time on it first at the dealership to be sure its the right fit for you.

Also take a look at Kioti if you have a dealer nearby. They are the next closest (IMO) to LS is the "bang for Buck" race, and have quality stuff. They now make a SCUT too, I think it's called the SC24.

I think the Kioti operator platform is a bit more comfortable too

Just to clarify... are you getting the 60" MMM, AND a 48" brush-hog? :confused3:

TSO- Yes the quote was for the 60"mmm and a LS brand rotary cutter.
