Places that have numbered streets running N-S, and numbered avenues running E-W, for example. And numbered outward in both directions from the center of town.
Then someone says a place is near the corner of 18th and 23rd. That could be 4 places.

At least it's in miles. Kilometers would really be confusing.
That is cause it is in the good ole US of A and if you are ever passing through Bethel, Maine you can see this sign for real yourself

There are a couple of business on Hwy 287 towards Wichita Falls Texas. Wish I had a photo, going by there tomorrow possibly, so will get one if they are still there.
The 1sign on top says "Adult gifts and Novelties" the one below is for the next door business which says " Texas Jerky"! always laugh at the "convenience"
