Like my Dad sometimes pointed out. Men used to be men. I don't think that guy in the cab is wondering if he is gonna be late taking the kid to socker practice!

I just notice how they are driving on planks. I have never seen that before. One of those planks would cost a few hundred bucks nowadays, I'm thinking.

That's what I thought. I remember my Dad talking about those old solid rubber tires; he said the ride was incredibly rough...and I'm sure he was right. He said some of the trucks had rubber tires, similar to modern tires, but they were filled with wooden blocks. I can't even imagine what that would have been like. Apparently they had a tendency, with too much speed on a corner, to come apart and spew wooden blocks everywhere.
