Any pointers (do's and dont's) when it comes to hauling a Ford 1700 4x4? Will be going to get one in the next 2 or 3 weeks. With the loader I think it will weigh in at around 3,200 lbs or so. Just hoping for a heads up on the best points to hook the chains to so I can pre-plan and not have to waste too much time trying to figure out how best to chain it down once up on the trailer.

Thanks
-Neil

Congrats Neil, welcome to 1700 brothe hood and the secret hand shake.:)

I brought mine home with my friend tandem trailer. The trailer was rated @ 10,000 lbs. My rig minus the loader is about 2500 lbs. chain and load binder is all we used. we moved it for about 30 miles thru town and highway. I'd make sure the tractor is loaded on tractor for a good distribution on either side of the axles. Obviously you want to lower the bucket on the trailer deck.

JC,
