Has the price(2305) gone down?

I was messing around on the Deere website and was curious about the 2305 price. I've been pretty much set on the BX24, never really looked at the 2305. The deere site shows it as TLB for $16309 with CX loader, 12BH bucket and turf tires. If thats the list, the selling price should be 7-10% less. That would bring it down around $15k. Is this right? The 2305 outspecs the BX. Has the price of green paint gone down?

Don't know about the 2305 but last week a dealer in Maine had a 2320 and loader with choice of turf or R4s for 14,800.

When I was looking for tractors this spring, the 2305 was ~$1500 more than a BX2350. One month later the price was the same (2305 came down). I suspect that JD lowered the price to better compete with Kubota (match the price point). I don't know if they've continued to come down...

Read the fine print on the Deere website; the TLB pricing, and yes I know, you would think that means tractor, loader and backhoe, doesn't include the 9505 loader package which it says in green fine print is invoiced separately.

They haven't gone down in MN - still about the same. I do see them advertised without "freight, dealer setup, etc." for a bit less, but I'm sure that gets added back in.

You're right about the loader. They list it as a TLB, but don't factor in the "L" . Very clever marketing. $2700 for CX loader and your up around
$20G. Maybe a little discount, but not even close to the BX price.

I currently sell my Kubota BX24 for $15,950

and

I currently sell my John Deere 2305 TLB for $16,750


I really like the Kubota unit for a few reasons. The BX has a folding ROPS where the 2305 does not. I am 6' 2" and I come close to hitting my head when demoing the 2305 TLB. The seat for me and my customers on the 2305 is another issue. It is simply sloppy. I have brought this up several times with my territory managers and we are hoping to see a fix come thru at some time. At my location we put these tractors next to each other and well the Kubota sells itself well just by way of design. I am sure that JD will catch up being that this is version 1 of the unit.

I know this will get some other Deere dealers up in arms but it is my opinion and quite frankly the opinion of many of my customers as well.

The plus on the 2305 however is the Quick Disconnect bucket on the loader. The dual rams on the bucket curl of the loader. The fact that the unit will work at an idle wher the Kubota simply will not. However who works there unts at idle. I really prefer the twin touch pedals of the Deere and the Loader lever location on the Deere. But these are a personal preference that will vary from customer to customer.

Interesting comparison, Dealer. It pretty much echoed what I thought about the two machines, also. I was looking at the BX 2350, though, not any TLBs. Were you refering to the backhoe seat when saying the Deere seat was sloppy?

I also preferred the Deere loader and twin go pedals, but also the seat. The BX seat made me feel like I was slipping off of it. Personal preference, though... Some like it, some don't, no big deal either way.

I think this is a real plus to first-time backhoe operators. It makes the learning curve less expensive!
