I have a new 4540 Mahindra sitting in the shop but I still go for the YM336D Yanmar when I need to do something. What does that tell you?

Tells me you need to spend more time on your green Yanmar YM2500 too.

I have a Yanmar 336d also. Good tractor. My Mahindra 4510 is decent enough but it often takes 2 to 4 months to get any parts and then the machine is down.

Sounds like you wasted your money buying the Mahindra🤷‍♂️

I use John Deere 850 2WD more than any of my tractors because I mow about 3 acres weekly during the summer. The John Deere 850 4WD is mainly for backhoe work. I also have a John Deere 850 4WD in the shop I'm planing to rebuild this winter. The Mahindra I plan to use for bush hogging and fire wood harvesting. The YM336D I use for loader work and drive way upkeep. The wife says I need to get rid of a couple of them. My problem is I don't know which 2.

Your most likely right but I'm 72 and had never owned a new tractor so I took the plunge.

A JD850 is a green Yanmar YM2500. They are the same machine other than the paint color.

Yup. I have a nice newer Kubota cab model that spends 90% of the year parked in the barn. Only time I fire it up is when I'll be mowing for hours on end, or pushing snow in the cold. The rest of the time when I need a tractor for a small job its always my old John Deere I choose. Open station, don't need to climb a ladder to get in it, better visibility when working in close quarters....and just an old familiar tool I've gotten used to using for the past 25 years.

I find I use the smaller tractors more often,

the 2wd B7200 pulls wagons in the gardens, hauls fire wood with the carry all, and blows snow off the pavers around the house along with the drives.

But the bigger tractors come to play when there is a stump that needs to be moved. That Fordson E27n can heft some weight!

Nothing worse than needing it and not having it......
