Hard Drive Crashed :-(

( For instance, we get many calls from folks reporting their hard drive won't turn on. They're sitting there pushing the power button on the monitor )

I've handles tons of tech support calls that are like that... and I find that most people refer to the case.. ( desktop or tower ).. as the Hard drive...

Had people trying to slide paper into the printer to get a fax ( not a MFC.. just a printer )... And the list goes on and on.

New a fellow that 'washed' his keyboard in the tub..( yes!) and then wondered why it no longer functioned..

He calls us and tells us his PC isn't working anymore. My co-worker opens the case in our lab and bursts out laughing. We immediately hunted down a digital camera. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

At first, he denied doing it, but we found a matching spoon and fork on his desk! We interrogated the suspect and he said it was making a loud noise and he wanted it to stop. So he shoved it in the case where a fan should have been and wiggled it around, but lost his grip and that was that. After he lost his grip, the PC stopped working. I havn't seen that.. but I have seen a dead insect on a mother board.. and a dead mouse in a pc... it died.. urinated.. and kille dthe mboard.

Opened a vcr one day and found a pnutbutter and jelly sandwhich.. my friend.. the mother of 4 small childredn, was not very amused..*(though I was)..
