One of the ways HF keeps their prices down is to only provide a 90 day warranty on most items. They of course want to
sell you an extended warranty to improve their margins. When I see a company warranting a motorized product for two or three years, it
provides a feeling of security when dealing with unknown brands. But then that's only as good as the ability to find someone to fix the product.
Yes, level playing field, what is the cost, shipping and tax.
Predator makes good engines, high value Chondas, but what about the hoses, nozzles, tires on the frame, etc etc.
If they are going to charge you less, most likely you are going to get less. But the whole idea I thought with HF
is you may be getting enough for the job you have to do and how often you do it.
Used to be HF was half the cost of other competitors. Now it seems closer to 20 percent off for their top tier lines compared
to Dewalt, etc. Really need to cross shop Lowes, Home Depot and Walmart on name brand items, but HF is inventing their own name brands.
Maybe.
I personally have found their staff helpful and friendly in recent years.
But they are only clerks, they don't know how to use any of this equipment.
