Harbor Freight Tools that don't suck

I think it’s pretty decent for a beginner. All bench top lathes are lacking in stability. A beginner would be a lot better off with a cheap lathe and more sharpening equipment and accessories vs a better lathe without much else.

I think the problem, with the low end lathes, is they lack mass. A friend, firmly mounted his to a piece of 1/2" plate and that made a world of difference in stability and vibration.

Does anybody REALLY want a >>*white*<< tool cart?

I mean, unless you're running a clean room for some reason.

So Saturday I started the job of changing the timing belt on my daughter's Accord. All was going well until a water pump bolt broke. None of my tricks worked including welding a nut to what was left of the bolt. Of course there is very little space so off I went to HF to see what they have for right angle drills. All the electric ones are too big so I went with the attachment tool below because it has the shortest nose. The tool is actually built quite well, no loose bearings and the chuck is adequate. I pulled up a 20% off coupon on my phone plus grabbed a free tarp.

3/8 in. 9deg Angle Drill Attachment

Years ago when I managed to drive a 3 1/2 in framing nail thru 3 fingers with my nail gun, the ER Doc had to go to his car to get the right set of pliers for the extraction.

Ouch!!!

I carry needlenose pliers in my camping first aid kit, to cut off and extricate fishhooks out of the kids.

Yep nephew did that recently. Well actually his brother shot a nail and it hit a knot and ricocheted over and got him from about 8 feet away. At least it missed bone.
