Harbor Freight Tools that don't suck

I picked up one of the 3-ton low-profile floor jacks Saturday. Haven't had a chance to use it yet, but they seem to get pretty good reviews.
I used mine to hold up the Ford 3400 to load the tires. Worked will and held it up for 2 days. Heavy little sucker though :)

BTW, follow the bleeding instructions before using.

Nope, but its worth the price of admission if you have a HF close enough to return it.

Having three HFs within easy 20 minute drive lets me try out a number of tools that I wouldn't buy if returning it would be a hassle. It's a major consideration when buying anything that needs plugging in (to air or electric).

I drive past HF on the way to the ranch. Its on the frontage road visible from the freeway and so convenient to the next offramp. They knew what they were doing locating it there - temptation! :p (Fairfield Ca.)

I have one that is a couple years old. It works fine for lifting, but leaks down a lot more than it should. It will go all the way down if left overnight.

I have had surprisingly good results with Bars Jack Oil Stop Leak

I got one a few months ago. It has worked well. I heard rumors that one should check the oil level before using. I haven't gotten around to it yet.

Thanks for the heads-up, guys.

I thought the rule was to change any oil in inexpensive equipment from china.

Oil, grease or anything moving needs to be serviced upon receipt IMO. Cheap insurance.
