I had a heat gun (the older yellow style) that quit working; the element still got hot but the blower gave out. Replaced it with the newer red/black current one. Thinking about getting another since it's in the current coupon book for $8 just to have in reserve. They're great for heat shrink tubing.
Pawn shops: had a friend in Vegas (four pawns to casino ratio) who would sometimes buy the pawn tickets for a dollar from individuals who looked less likely to return for said item if it was something he was interested in. Got a few things for the cost of the loan plus vig before the markup.

I want to but not yet and they have limited colors like red/yellow/black if i remember right

You can buy the other colors off eBay, and much cheaper than even HF.

In another thread, there was a complaint about searching on Tractorbynet.

Here is a neat trick. Go to this Google site: Google Enterprise Search - relevant, easy search for intranets and websites

Underneath the word Demo, type in www. tractorbynet.com in the left box and what you want to search for in the right box. It does a site specific search. Works for any web site

I have not seen a review on this wrench. I have been looking for a 3/4" air impact wrench. When you get to this size the price really goes up. My 2 1/2" impact tools are no good for my Dodge Ram lug nuts and they barely work on my Jeep. So I needed something with a bit more power. A few days ago I was at HF and saw this heavy duty 3/4" model. It is rated at 1000 ft lbs of torque. I purchased one for 71.99 with a coupon. Today I got to try it out on my Ram. Well, I was happily surprised. A couple of hits and the lug nut was spinning off. I tried it on just 2 lug nuts. Going on, I let the tool hit the nut 2 times once it met the rim. I then got my torque wrench, set to 135 ft. lbs. and torqued the nuts. Both turned just a bit before they were at final torque. So if I had let the wrench hit the nut a few times they would have been over torqued. This was just a priliminary test but so far so good.

The tool has a nice black and gray textured finish. It is quite heavy compared to the 1/2" wrenches. It also uses 7 CFM at 90 psi. If you are looking for a 3/4" impact wrench check this model out.

looks like a really good deal. The comparable Ingersoll Rands start at double that, and the less expensive name brand tools seem to be all made in china too.
I think the low price is due to the heavy weight. Costs money to take the weight out of these tools and still have them be durable, using magnesium or whatever.
But if the diff between an 8 pound tool and a ten pound tool is irrelevant, who cares. Same for noise output. if you used it all day, you'd probably be deaf, but who does that?

I have a set of nice Northern Tools 3/4 impact sockets I've been using manually, and while their machining leaves something to be desired (some get stuck on the wrench)
they would sure work nicely with this tool.

I do have a side question. without a torque wrench, how hard do you have to lean on the manual tool before one gets to 135 pounds? I know the length of the tool handle makes a huge difference, but
for the "average guy" who pulls almost as hard as he can, how many pounds does that equate to? I know, it's a big range, but now you've got me thinking whether I need to use a torque wrench on my
Land Pride's mower bolts. Those huge bolts (well over an inch) look like they could take a lot of overtightening without complaint. But doesn't overtightening reduce the life of the bolt?

boy I got nowhere doing this. Under the demo part, I typed in the URL and Gravely, and absolutely nothing happened when I pressed the button. Hmmmm. Then I tried the second method of site: and it worked, but never finished.
is it doing a key word search on the whole site? I gave up after half a minute.

From Google's own help pages comes this tip:

Include "site:" to search for information within a single website like all mentions of "Olympics" on the New York Times website.
[ Olympics site:nytimes.com ]

Tip: Also search within a specific top-level domain like .org or .edu or country top-level domain like .de or .jp.
[ Olympics site:.gov ]

Where Olympics is the search target.
