Harbor Freight Tools that don't suck

I'm considering buying one of these 3-point adapters, that mount to FEL SSQA.

3-Point Attachment Adapter for Universal Skid Steers, Quick-Attach Equipment

I could use it to hook up my 3-point boom pole, 3-point landscape rake, etc. The lower arm connections are width adjustable.

Titan also offers a similar attachment with an integral Cat 1 / Cat 2 quick hitch.

Adapter To Convert Full Size Universal Quick Tach To Quick Hitch 3 Point Cat 1,2

I'm more inclined to the first one with good adjustability.

I could see that being handy especially with a boom pole.

I have the gantry crane over in our shop and LOVE it. I did replace the upper beam for a larger HD beam (buddy gave it to me so....) and it works great. Use it to get implements out of the truck bed, stuff off the trailer, rebuild large implements (for example my Alamo 6' flail mower) and everything else I can't easily lift. A few years ago I built a a very HD land plane, there was NO way to move it around and flip it over in the garage easily without the gantry crane. Sure I could use the mini ex but it was middle of winter and didn't want to open the shop doors and let the hear out. Just throw a cable around the end I want to lift and tilt it up right in the bay of the shop and weld away. They are not cheap but I figure compared to the hospital bill for me getting squished it is a great deal! Even use it to lift the front of my ZTR to change blades quick and easily.
You are easily convincing me. I missed the 25% coupon window (ended July 28). Worth waiting for the next one (Labor Day?). Otherwise it is 20% off anytime. That extra 5% is not chump change... about $40 including tax.

I could see that being handy especially with a boom pole.

My boom pole is about 8' long and very HD. My 55 HP tractor FEL raises to 8' at the FEL pins. My 100 HP tractor will go a bit over 12'.

The crane is on wheels...right?
Just re-arrange your shop / garage so the crane can roll around a workbench or some other objects in your garage. If it's over a workbench, clamp some lights to the beam when it's not being used.
Anything on wheels can be moved around. Before I built my wood shop I had to use the garage. Everything was on wheels so I could still park the vehicles in it.
Wheels are your friends.
Oh yeah, most all of my big tools, tables, storage cabinets are on wheels! I just have no more space!!! I need to purge some stuff I do not use anymore. Coolers, camping gear, 250gal fish tank and stand, and a whole lot of misc stuff!

As far as I know all engines of same displacement/HP have the same pattern*, also under 6 hp generally shares same accessory mounting pattern.
When U get up in the HP range that's where U get surprises.

Thanks for the reply. After reading the reviews on the HF engine, I looked at a Kawasaki engine that looks pretty good. I am trying to figure out whether it will fit.

Okay just realized a limitation in going with the HF gantry crane. My ceiling height of my garage/shop is a little under 100in and the HF gantry says minimum height is 99in. Not to mention there will be no rolling it out into the driveway from the garage. Now thinking of the HF 2ton foldable shop crane.

2 ton Capacity Foldable Shop Crane

It seems plenty stout and I think a reach that will allow me to unload heavy items from my F150 bed not to mention the ability to lift the entire bed off for repair. Seems I could also move heavy machinery in and around my shop as well.

What am I missing? This thing is only $239 before coupons and has twice the lift capacity. Why would I not get this vs. the gantry crane?

How much free space to you have between the upright frames?

I don't recall the exact width but I park a Ram 2500 under it and have well over a foot on each side of the truck to the uprights (thinking more like 18")

They aren稚 very heavy. 2 stout guys or 4 regular guys could lift it up and walk it backwards to the pre placed stand.
It is even possible to do with just one person. I set 4 post in the ground, parked the truck between them and raised one corner at a time a few inches until the whole thing was high enough, then drove out from under it. Reversed the process to put it back on.
