how do you know that the craftsman wrench was the one giving the correct torque readings Randy

It is suprising how many people trust torque wrenches based on the brand I have seen snap on wrenches so far out the could not be caled 20 years of abusing tools on aircraft on carriers Randy

Sure is amazing how mere mention of HF always gets the juices flowing here on TBN. LOL

I have some of their stuff as well as other brands. Most seems to run the gamut of quality. Recently bought a tool from Sears and it was labelled Made in India. Kinda surprised myself by saying to wife, Wow, wish it had been made in China LOL fit and finish just wasn't what I've experienced for a craftsman power tool. Anyway, it performed for the task and now sits in my arsenal of special use stuff. Lot of my HF stuff is kinda like that as I'm not a professional tool user of any stripe.
I'd probably buy more, but I have to figure in the shipping cost to make a decision.

Wow, must hit a soft spot in ya, well, it seems you think you got me figured out:laughing:
You just buy your china crap tools and them come here and praise to every one how much you saved:laughing:

It seems we both have some soft spots. That's okay. I'm a fan of frank discussion. Were it not for HF, I have never started in some of my favorite hobbies.

Keep in mind my point was not that HF stuff is any good. My point is that most major retailers now have equally as crappy stuff.

Nobody mentioned the scissors. I have a couple of them and about 4 flashlights. I read on a fishing forum that the cheap retractable dog leash HF sells is good for a heavy lure retriever sold at Bass Pro Shops. I put my lure retreiver on it, but I need to wait for the ice to melt before I go out in the canoe or kayak. I'll probably be singing a different tune if I lose my lure retreiver because the dog leash broke. The 12 inch clamp you get for $1.99 with a coupon is pretty good at being a third hand. I gave three of my seven brothers-in-law one at Christmas as a Ha Ha (didn't see the other four, nor my five brothers for that matter). They have since used them and like them.

Use the HF float chargers on the 6 m/c batteries I keep charged up waiting for spring. Got them for around $4 a piece. Work great. Can't buy the plug and clips for that price.

There is a thread about HF tools that dont suck, lets not divert from it to bad and get 2 threads.

As to the mods and jokes. I replied a while back to a thread about game wardens and me catching Stripers and a cooler full. Well i wrote strippers (acidentaly), 2 jokes later on biting strippers and the thread was closed. Sorry this one will prolly be locked now.

I think we should stick with them and not start a third.
