Just pulled out my old sawbuck for cutting branches. Real time saver
and a lot safer too.

Made this out of pressure treated lumber and held up very well
for several years. Ready for this years cutting. P1040434.jpgP1040433.jpg

That does look pretty handy. You could use a grapple or even pallet forks to load it up too!

Small stuff like that is a real pain but worth cutting. That looks like a real good way to get it cut fairly efficiently.

Works great, holds a lot of branches (stacked to the top) and cuts them all at once to the correct length for your stove, boiler, etc.

This was designed to the ideal depth/reach of my chainsaw bar and chain, and the cuts are located to the ideal lengths
for my wood boiler. This allow me to use almost everything from a tree..very little waste and brush to haul.

Now that I have a tractor I am going to design a carrier for the cut pieces of kindling. Something to toss them into, pick up with forks
and drive them to their destination without all the frustrating handling and stacking. Will be a real time saver!

After all of the years of using this, I just added a scrap piece of pt wood to the center of the frame to use as a handle when carrying. It has some weight and when
trying to lift and walk with it, it was always difficult to do so. Simple mod fixed that!

I made firewood with one once that was bunch of Xs about 16" apart, tied together with horizontal boards. Worked great, and all the firewood was right size.

So did I, but my Dad was on the other end of the Swede saw and I used to hate that saw horse with all the passion of my ten years....LOL

I've only done it with Swedish Husqvarna, or is that what you mean?

Think the referral was to a character building saw that ran off of a good breakfast!
