SO on my facebook feed I see this sale ad for Mahindra 20S HST. Pictured it has a MMM and FEL, says savings of $12k off msrp, and shows price of $11k. While not tractor shopping at all, that just looked like a great deal for $11k. Could do a lot of tasks my NX is overkill for, mrs CMV could mow while I bush hog, could do little projects at the house and not fear tearing up the lawn with heavy machine, etc. Anyway, I fell for it and clicked. MMM is an additional $3k, FEL is additional $4k, etc.... So pretty much the $12k savings sale they're advertising is regular price. Unless that little thing with FEL and MMM is typically $30k!

NOT bashing Mahindra - just happened to be their ad. They should change the pic in the ad to show the backhoe also to get more suckers like me to click :)

However, if that little tractor really was $11k with the loader & MMM, I'd probably be stopping by the Mahindra dealer after work tonight :)

Now excuse me while I check out some foam mattresses shipped in a box, indestructible sneakers, pre-prepped paleo meal ingredients in a box, and a long list of people I don't recognize but could be people I know .....

Savings of "up to" $12K.... That would probably be on the higher cost tractors.

MSRP on the eMax 20 with loader is $14,850. For reference, the RK19 (basically the same tractor) is $10,298 with the loader, so Mahindra would have to come down quite a bit to be in the ballpark. My local LS dealer is offering an LS XJ2015 (a good bit more tractor) for $14,800 and the MT125 with loader, backhoe and MMM for $17,500. Mahindra isn't the discount tractor brand anymore. They have eased their prices up until they are on par with big green. I nearly fell over when I had a Mahindra dealer quote a couple of tractors for me.

I didn't know you could get that configuration. I've always seen them with either the MMM or the BH, but never both. Just assumed the BH subframe interfered with MMM and that's why. That would be a neat little do-all machine.

I’ve had a few Mihandra dealers give me real high price quotes also.

Very funny!

Yeah, my folks bought a Mahindra about 10 years ago basically because they were the "most value" for the money. I think in hindsight they'd have paid a little more to get something a little more reliable. So I was a little surprised to find them to be of the more expensive brands when I started shopping. It seems like some of their tractors are very good and some are not very good at all. Some are very modern and some are very old tech with modern stuff cobbled on. The 2810 my folks have looks like it was built by TYM for Mahindra.

My 2810 is a tym tractor .it has over1000 hrs of pretty hard use with only a few minor hyd leaks it is a very well built tractor. But i do agree that mahindra has definetly raised thereprices to high.

I've had a few Mihandra dealers give me real high price quotes also.

When I was shopping I was really surprised to get the quote on a Mahindra 2638 HST. A Kubota L3301 HST was less. Granted the Mahindra is ~10% more HP, longer warranty, & had a few extra standard features, but I was expecting a "value brand" price quote and to be a lot lower than Kubota.

Again, not trying to bash Mahindra - I'm sure they're fine machines. But my expectations at the time were to find Kubota kind of Cadillac priced and Kioti, LS, Mahindra, etc, steeply discounted in comparison. But - at least at that time with whatever incentives each brand had, initial price quotes with no haggling, and only checking 1 dealer per brand - what i found was pretty much anything in the 30-35ish HP range similarly equipped was close enough in price to the others not buying the one that suited you best didn't make sense to save a very small amount. Once I got to a little bigger frame & HP or wanted more bells & whistles, they really started separate in price then. But for the general workhorse type machines, prices weren't dramatically different. I didn't shop TYM, Branson, RK, etc so maybe they are significantly less.

I got my LS mt125 TLB for $16k. I use a 72" RFM on it without any problem.
