Anyone own a H.F. shop press ? Good / bad experences . I have needed a press several times in the shop but , never bought one. I saw a H.F. sale add for a 20 ton shop press for $170.00. Sent the wife to pick it up for my Christmas gift.

I had the 20 ton HF, but when I got it in my hands (before we had a store) it was half the size of the chinese cheapie from the local store that was $30 more or so. I returned the HF, no hassle, and bought the local cheapie and have been very happy with it.

For my money, frame size and structure is very important for what I do.

I have one of their 20T units, the H-frame. They also have a
20T A-frame unit. On sale for $170 a few years ago. Works great.
I made a finger brake for it to bend sheet metal up to 12 guage.
$170 is not much more than the material cost in this thing. I prob
shoulda bought the 50T, but that is 3x more....

i picked up the lightweight 10T but the idiots in the back tossed in the wrong bottle jack so ive got the 20T bottle jack.

Its worked great for the projects ive used it on. A little light weight but nothing that could be beefed up with addtional welded steel.

well, it looks like it will be a jig saw puzzle. It's in many pieces.I'll have to wait until this weekend to put the thing together.
