GX85 won't go in gear?

Any body out there had a problem with this particular mower not going in gear? I'm looking to buy one that has this problem hoping it's something minor. Maybe one of you guy is familiar with this issue and can give me some insite that will help make this an easy decision, thanks.

Does it grind when trying to put into gear?
Could be that the idler on the drive belt going to the transaxle is broken/out of adjustment/?? and simply not disengaging to allow shifting into gear.
