My Nortrac was running about 200 degrees. I decided to see how dirty the radiator was. It looked pretty dirty. I then noticed what looked like a handle at the top in front of the radiator. I pulled up the handle and a screen came up. I washed off the screen and reinserted it in the channels. Now I have a clean radiator.

Ron,
if you do a lot of grass sutting you may want to make that a typical service item. You may also have to clean/pressure wash the radiator fins of the stuff that gets past that screen. Its time consuming but has to be done if it appears restricted with grass, etc.

Ronbo it always amazes me what I find while reading through my own operators manual. It actually recommends that I do things that I wasn't even aware needed to be done either. Good reading material for a rainy day I'm thinking.

My neighbor recently destroyed the radiator in his Dodge truck with a pressure washer. Those fins are too delicate!!!!!!!!

I'd be scared to use a pressure washer too. I'm with Harry about keeping the radiator clean. But I prefer to use compressed air from the back side of the radiator. When all the chaff and seeds have been blown forward, a simple rinse with a garden hose finishes the job.
