GT6000 deflector/discharge chute

I bought a used GT6000 and have a new discharge chute to put on it. Since I didn't take the old one off, I can't figure out how to install the new one. Does anyone have a picture or diagram they could share that shows me how to get the spring on there? the shield, rod and bolts are obvious but I can't figure out the spring. The owners manual is not much help, just helped me to get the parts ordered.
