Last time I used my garden tracor I pulled the deck raise/lower lever up for transport and felt/heard something that did not sound right. At that point the deck was "frozen" in position - I had no height adjustment or response from the deck when I moved the lever. I removed the deck today, and was able to rotate the height adjustment knob again and so I figured all was good. Upon reinstalling the deck - same issue. Looking underneath the right side of the fender, it seems to me that the cam that is attached to the deck height knob is contacting the piece of metal (see attached diagram) which is attached to the lift assembly, preventing it from moving. Any thoughts on fixing this?

Suspect you have slipped over the top of the pin that holds the deck from bottoming further. Happens, and think you are close to figuring out what to do for a fix.

I'm not sure. I jacked up both sides of the mower deck and the height knob turns freely, allowing adjustment. As soon as weight is supported by the tractor lift mechanism the deck is once again immovable.

Lift mechanism is under the height knob, not above it. (my guess)
