GT 275 or Lx173

Looking at two lawn tractors. ONe is a 1997 GT 275 with 48" deck and power flow bagger for $1500. The other is an LX173 with a 48" deck, power flow bagger, cart and spreader (which i dont need) for $1800. NOt sure the hours yet as they are private sale and Im waiting for calls back, if they arent already gone.
I believe the GT is a more heavy duty tractor. My JD book only shows GTs up to 245. Any thoughts on which one to pursue?

GT garden tractors are built stronger than LX lawn tractors. I had a GT 262 (stick shift version of the 275) for 7 years and sold it to my father who kept it for 4 more years. It mowed roughly 2.5 acres a week for 11 years with no problems after the warranty went out. My brother has the 275. He bought it used 3 years ago and has put a fuel pump on it. JC
