The only thing I’ve ever found that gets rid of gophers is traps. However in an open field situation away from buildings I would love to try a rodenator.

Neighbor was having issues with Bank Beavers.
They were coming into his orchard and chewing down fruit trees.
He tried trapping and that didn't work and being technically in city boundaries couldn't shoot them.
He dumped almost a full 5 gallon jug of gasoline into their burrows.
Put down a trail of gas to lite it from.
Poof! No more beavers.
It was like a double explosion. The initial fuel going up and then the air slamming back in and down their burrows.
Should have seen the ground jump. Other neighbors thought there was an earth quake almost a half mile away.

A couple ounces of gas down the hole at night took care of the issue. No more yellow jackets.

Wednesday, I was stacking 4x4x5 hay bales in a barn on Tuesday. I put the bottom bales on plastic pallets to help with air circulation. The pallets were stacked against the wall since last fall. I grabbed a pallet and my hand felt like I stuck it in an electrical outlet. In 1 second, I was stung by a hornets nest they built in the pallets during the summer.
Last week we were cleaning up a big hickory tree that fell into some privet in the front yard of a house. While sawing, I felt the pain of being stung on the legs. Thankfully, I was able to yank the saw out of the tree and run away. It was early AM, so they were not as active.
I hate the damn things.

Lucky that you aren't allergic. They tell me that can change, and you don't know until you have a reaction.

I’ve been stung so many times. Ain’t no way I’m alergic, or ever will be.
I AM however, allergic to soft people, who don’t like to work and cry like babies when forced to.
