hey all,
getting ready to install 1000 sq ft of 3/4 tongue & groove flooring. would like to have a pneumatic nailer, running at around $480 at the big boxers. checked online and found nailers on the www.grizzly.com site for $200. much better. any experience with these?
thanks

They look alot like Bostitch knock-offs. Are parts available? It's not uncommon to break driver blades.

I recently purchased the floor stapler,(I got the stappler instead of the nailer because they said staples would hold better than nails). I have put down about 850 sq. ft. of 3/4 inch white oak flooring. I usually buy Hitachi or Dewalt, but the price of the grizzly I had to take the chance. Works great, no jams or skips. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Farmerpsv I live about 3 mile from Grizzly, I went down and checked , they do carry parts and do repairs. By the way staples are a lot cheaper than nails.

I bought a refurbished Bostich pneumatic stapler couple years ago when we did our bedroom. Used it for as long as I needed it, put it on ebay. Ended up selling it for MORE than I paid for it. True story.

When I bought it refurbished, I don't know what was wrong with it prior to me getting it but it LOOKED factory brand new with nary a scratch or mark on it. Even the malet was pristine.

I have purchased some "refurbished" items off the web (not ebay) and found the same thing. They did not appear to be anything but brand new. I have a suspicion it is a new product being sold by the mfr as "refurbished" to avoid retail vendors getting disturbed by direct mfr internet sales. It could also be surplus or soon to be discontinued models.

hey all,
i bought the harbor freight floor nailer last friday for $139, and added $19 to get the extended warranty (if anything goes wrong bring it in and they exchange it). it worked great, did about 400 square feet so far without any problem. looks very much like the bostich. but again, i'm only doing 1000 square and probably will use it with my porch.

I have been buying from Grizzly for years, good stuff and they stand behind the products and they carry parts for everything they have ever sold.
