Huskee Heavy Duty 14.5hp
I just purchased a used Huskee 14.5hp riding mower with a snow blower attachment on it. Today was the first day of really using it.

It was working fine for a couple hours. After awhile, I couldn't get it into reverse. It would grind, and it just felt like it wasn't going into gear all the way.

Is there an adjustment that can be made? Is is in need of a new belt or spring? Is it something more worrisome, like a new transaxel?

Sounds like putting in the clutch is not stopping the transmission from being driven with the belt.
Likely the adjustment of the idler pulley that tightens the belt is not lifting all the way, or also might look for a brake that is supposed to help stop the belt.

The driven pulley and the wheels need to be at a complete stop for the shifting into a gear.
