I'm always worried about running over my saw. If I am not uses the backhoe, I put it in the bucket. I usually have it "hid" behind a tree with the milk crate full of gas and oil and such. But sometimes that tree is just too far to walk to!
JD450J LPG...................................sweet. I gather your gonna spend some $$$$ for all the rake, sweeps, and screens.

Had a buddy out helping me and he set the saw on the tracks where you couldn't see it. I was backing up to shove the last two trees of the day over and it got crushed. If I had gone forward I would've seen it.

A buddy bought the Dozer in Jan and has never ran one. I'm helping him get his company up off the ground. He's gone 1 month and home one month so I stay busy when he's gone. So when he's home I'm teaching him how to run it. It needs the sweeps and screens for sure to keep the youpon from slapping the tar out of you. The rake will hopefully speed some jobs up. I do this part time as I'm a full time fireman.

Do any neighbors have a box blade I could rent or borrow for a few days? I'm using a 50 hp kubota and would like to rough grade my house and dress up the drive a bit. I'm also looking a buying a 7' 3 pt disc I found on CL. I know I'm being vague but do those usually weigh enough to do a good job?

I'm borrowing this tractor from a buddy. I let him use my trailer, he lets me use his tractor. Once we get closed on our house it will be tractor buying time!

Thanks in advance

Brett,
I don't have a box blade. I do everything with my loader bucket. On the disc, put all the weight your tractor can lift with the 3PH on it. Smaller discs take more time (more passes) than my 3600 pound pull behind disc, but should do well for what you have in mind.

If your still interested in discing I may go that route. Believe it or not the place is starting to look tolerable. I've been mowing the front half and it's turning out great. I had a buddy help me yesterday. He drove and I loaded and went over a couple acres getting all the bigger sticks out of the way. Were going to be moving out there next week probably. I started a thread called our home in the woods. Itll show how much things have changed out there since you saw it last.

Brett,
I can do it, but it will be next month sometime. Can you post a link here, to your new home thread?

I'm on the hunt for a landscape rake. Does anyone have one for sale or rent? Been looking at the ea one but seems hard to justify for only going over the property once. Have some little sticks and twigs I'm trying to clean up in preparation for Brandi bringing out here big fancy disc.

I too have looked for one around here in East Texas and have yet to find a rental place that has one. I can't even find one to borrow. Hope to find a used one some day that is still in good shape. Good luck on your hunt.

Brett,
Please PM me your email address and phone number. Long story short............I had to replace my PC, then my cell phone screen went black.
