So my Grillo 107d has started to leak tranny oil. The bottom stud and nut where the engine meets the tranny housing appears to be stripped, it tightens so far and then just keeps turning when I wrench on it. Anyone ever have to replace that stud?

Wondering how many cuss words it will take.

Just to close out this thread if anyone might have this issue going forward.

I bought my Grillo in 2014.

There was a revision kit put out in 2016 (maybe?) to address this issue .Consisted of a bushing, bearing and seal that slid over the drive shaft.

Earthtools had the kit in stock.

And just to bump my old thread; I ordered the revision kit (to stop the leak back in november). It did not work.

The bushing sent has a physical size that makes it impossible to fit inside where it is supposed to go. I gave up and have been filling the tranny every time I use it, getting very expensive.

Can I just substitute axle grease for tranny fluid?

Did you call Earthtools for advice? Seems like they should have some answers for this issue.

Call Joel at earth tools before you push heavy grease or corn head grease in there.

I did speak to a tech at Earth tools long ago after I got the kit, because the instructions were incomprehensible.

But ti didn't help. The bushing in the kit does not fit.
